How can I cancel my Square account?
Square accounts don´t have cost maintenance but you can deactivate your account by logging to your Square Dashboard / Account & Settings / Personal Information / Deactivate Account. Before you deactivate your account make sure to export your payment history, Item Library and Customer Directory because you won´t be able to access this information after cancellation. Also keep in mind that you won´t be able to deactivate your account until you cancel any active subscription. Regarding any Square hardware, because they don´t store any personal or account information, it can be used with any Square account.
How long does it take to issue a refund with Square?
Square allow you to issue a refund up to one year after a transaction is made. If the payment was made through Square Online there is a 120 day window. Refund usually takes between 9 to 14 business days to complete and the amounts can be partial or total. No fees are charged in the process and there are no limits on the number of refunds but keep in mind that thay cannot be used as a payment deposit.
Does Square charge any fees?
There are no monthly fees unless you purchase specialized software products, and there are no fees for using multiple devices. Square will only charge you per transaction. Also, Square won´t charge any refund fees or charge backs neither to you nor to the customer.
